This is a virtual reality module:
- Course was built using CenarioVR
- Nine (9) 360 photos taken using a Gear360 camera and cell phone
Results:
- Before February 2020, 92 students had participated in our VR drill trial
- Only 4 of those participating students had participated in a tornado drill at the college
- 22 students replied yes they would be able to give instructions to someone else on the accurate tornado evacuation
- Of those 22 students, 12 students gave incorrect directions/instructions
- 9 students said they might be able to give directions
- After reviewing the VR drill, 90 students said they would be able to evacuate themselves and give directions/instructions to someone in the case of a tornado
About this project:
This is a virtual reality course on how to evacuate from the Southeast Campus second floor classroom to the Tornado Shelter on the first floor. This course is for all students and is launched within school Blackboard site.
