D3 and iRT win 2024 Brandon Hall Bronze Award
Innovation Research & Training (iRT), D3 Training Solutions, and ELB Learning have recently received a 3rd international award for the Plan My Ride (PMR) eLearning program. The PMR program earned a Bronze in the 2024 Brandon Hall HCM Excellence Award for “Best Use of Section 508 Requirements for Training Platforms” which is a part of the Learning & Development Program Area. The HCM Program has a dedicated focus on entries from corporate training, Learning, Talent, HR, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and Sales Enablement.
The award was won in partnership with iRT and D3 Training Solutions using the Lectora and CenarioVR products from ELB Learning. The Plan My Ride (PMR) training program was designed to introduce a comprehensive safe driving program that focuses on improving communication and planning skills to mitigate distracted and impaired driving through 7 self-paced, interactive online training modules followed by 3 immersive 360-video branching scenarios. The learning was further reinforced through 4 mobile-friendly microlearning booster sessions that are delivered to teens at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks after completing the modules.
The PMR program needed to be a brief, interactive, accessible, self-paced, online program that could be delivered remotely and designed in look, feel, tone, and content to be relatable and engaging to young drivers. The program also had to show results with a change in knowledge, attitudes and beliefs about impaired driving, perceived norms, self-efficacy to avoid impaired driving, and behavioral intentions to avoid impaired driving.
Innovation Research and Training (iRT) was founded in April of 1999 by Dr. Janis Kupersmidt as a way of attempting to fill the many gaps among basic research findings, social policy, intervention, prevention programs, and clinical practice. Because of iRT’s foundation in the social, clinical social, and behavioral sciences, the company has a unique commitment to the application of the most current scientific findings, methods, and best practices to identifying and solving significant real-world problems facing children, families, communities, organizations, and other social systems.
“Access to effective, high-quality, online educational resources provides an important avenue to improve equity, standardization, and scalability for our nation’s youth,” says Research Scientist Dr. Rebecca Stelter. “The Plan My Ride program is a reflection of iRT’s dedication to providing accessible, engaging eLearning programs to overcome inequities in education quality and promote the wellbeing of youth and young adults.”
